Welcome to my blog. I started Summer of Hockey for a graduate school project to stay on top of all the biggest stories of the 2019 NHL off season. Not wanting to stop the fun, I decided to keep it going through the 2020 NHL regular season and beyond. I will continue to post moving forward highlighting whatever particular story captures my imagination each week. Follow along for my insight on what I consider the greatest sport in the greatest league around.
HOCKEY IS MY LIFE
I am an avid Beer League Hockey player. Typically a stay-at-home defenseman, I switch to offense when we really need to get our forecheck going. My team has won four championships, including three in a row. We were nearly champions for a calendar year, holding the trophy from October 2023 until September 2024, just falling short short of a fourth straight title.
